Profiling and Approval Services

My library collects titles written in non-English languages, and GOBI's options are limited. I would like GOBI to profile Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and other world language content.

When setting up Notifications, especially for "All Titles" users receive titles with older pub years and there is no way to limit by pub year. Adding a pub year limitation to Notifications would keep older titles out.

I often come across titles on the ebook approval bookshelf where I'd like to buy an alternate edition on approval funds. For example, sometimes the edition on the approval bookshelf is unavailable in Canada, but an alt edition ebook is available. ...

I would like to filter titles for Notifications based on all the fields that GOBI shows for titles. For example: I always want to include certain series (no matter the subject) so it would be nice to be able to specify this in the Notification Man...

I would like to make sure we own every book written by Nobel prize winners in all fields. Unfortunately, outside of the Literature Prize, Gobi doesn't reliably tag (with Approval notes) books that aren't necessarily themselves direct award winners...

There are times when we need to be able to search for a specific title among our approval slips. It would be helpful to have ISBN as a search option.

Useful for librarians who prefer not to purchase titles in their subject areas by authors outside those disciplines.

When titles are not matching parameters, they land on the "approval bookshelf". The title could be sent directly in print or an alert could be sent out. Both isn't possible as yet.

The more parameters we can set on the platform ourselves for our approval plans, the easier is the administration of the approvals.

It would be very helpful, if open access titles were identified on the notifications.
