Allow the customer to specify the url(s) used for API access to Alma

We make extensive​ use of Alma’s APIs to run our locally developed discovery tools. Because we make so much use of Alma APIs, we are frequently challenged by the limits Ex Libris imposes on API requests per second, which can lead to the services we’ve built that depend on those APIs failing during times of high load. We are working with Ex Libris on getting our limits increased, and that has been an ongoing conversation.

In the meantime, we’re doing what we can to monitor our Alma API traffic, and part of doing so is having all that traffic go through a local API gateway we ourselves run. From there the gateway passes API requests to Alma's API server. This allows us to monitor load and identify any excessive use by particular applications, etc. as well as troubleshoot problems with Ex Libris.

We would love GOBI and Mosaic to allow the customer to set the url(s) used by Alma API calls to allow us to direct this traffic through our local gateway for monitoring purposes, rather than going directly to https://api-na.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com .
